THE ZOO - HAMPSTEAD HEATH - 2013

Golders Park Zoo ~

The Zoo and Deer Enclosure are situated at the bottom end of Golders Hill Park, near The Water Gardens.

The Zoo is designed for children and, although not large, houses rare and exotic animals from all corners of the world.

Currently, there are Ring-tailed Coati (called Pedro and Pepe), Ring-tailed Lemurs, Patagonian Mara, Donkeys, White Silkie Bantams, Little Egrets, Chiloe Wigeons, Laysan and Madagascan Teals  and Eurasean Eagle Owls.

The four female lemurs, (the species live exclusively on the island of Madagascar), are from the zoo at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Kirindy and her daughters Tibet and Nepal as well as their friend Rudi are all getting used to their new home in the park complete with rope swings, an outdoor heater and their own little home, when a male may be introduced for breeding.
