THINGS TO DO

The Marylebone Birdwatching Society holds a variety of indoor meetings, interesting walks and coach trips throughout the year!

Marion Hill tells us that the name comes from the Marylebone Institute for Adult Education.

"As our first meeting was in October 1981 at Quintin Kynastan school near Swiss Cottage, when students from a number of Kate Springett's classes came together to form a club."

The Society organizes talks (Gospel Oak Methodist Church) and field trips.

There are coach outings, with pick up points at Parliament Hill Fields (Highgate Road) and Belsize Park, as well as Baker Street.

There are more "local outings" when Society members meet at a station in or around London.

There is a weekly walk on Hampstead Heath.
