THE HEATH is only a few miles north of central London! It is a glorious area of about 790 acres of sweeping meadows, magical glades, mysterious crannies, ancient woodlands, ponds <that the visitor can swim in or fish in>, valleys, hedgerows and ,of course, carefully preserved Heathland!
THE HEATH is the natural habitat of many species of birds, such as kingfishers, kestrels and woodpeckers. It is a bird watcher's paradise!
A host of contrasting creatures such as butterflies, moths and other insects also live here..

More than 650 species of flowering plants and ferns have been recorded. A variety of bats also inhabit The Heath . It has a richness of history and heritage and a wealth of flora and fauna ! It is forever changing.
