HIGHGATE  PUBLIC HOUSES ~

Highgate has a good selection of pleasant pubs for the visitor to relax in as well as some that have closed.

Highgate High Street and Highgate Hill were the main coachway routes from central London to the North in the nineteenth century. Highgate Village was the first Hill Stop and hence numerous coach houses sprang up for the travellers, etc.
