HIGHGATE

FLORA AND FAUNA~

Waterlow Park is full of fascinating cultured flora, as well as a large amount of wild trees, shrubs, plants and flowers.

The Upper Lake's surrounds are  semi-wild and nature is encouraged to take its natural course.

The Park has lovely grassed and wooded areas, borders and beds and provides a variety of habitats for study.

Woodpeckers, pigeons, starlings, crows, magpies, several duck species, frogs and toads, bats, brown rats and grey squirrels inhabit The Park, much the same species that are prevalent in this north part of London.
