BROADLANDS ROAD ~

Between North Road and Bishopswood Road, it contains houses built in the 1880s and 1890s for successful Victorian manufacturers.

The founder of Lipton's Tea and John Sainsbury are good examples.

The walls at no. 1 and no. 17 are interesting in that they are said to be composed of bricks from the kilns of the brick works, near the Viaduct Bridge, Hampstead Heath!

No. 16 is a good example of a house built after the Gothic style, dating from about 1878.
